Address

This section contains information describing how to use the Oracle Net8 Assistant to configure Names Servers listening addresses.

Add

 To configure a listening address for a Names Server:

  1. Specify the network protocol using the Protocol pull down menu. You may choose from either tcp, ipc, or spx.

  2. Enter values for any protocol-specific parameters.

  3. When you are satisfied with your listening address, click on the Add button. The address will appear in the address list text area at the bottom of the right hand screen.

Remove

To remove a listening address for a Names Server:

  1. Click on any one of the listening address listed in the address list text area at the bottom of the right hand screen.

  2. Click on the Remove button.
